Police Memorial Park
I have years and years of memories at Police Park, pre-kid, and with my little guy. If you’re looking for something specific, this park probably has it plus a wonderful dedication to our men and women in uniform.
Dog Parks
Police Park has three dog parks. I like to say for the big, little, and naughty. This is a popular hangout for pups and their owners alike.
Sports
Pickleball
It’s clear to me that Pickle Ball has taken over! Police Park was one of the first places where I saw multiple pickleball courts. Grab and ball and racket and head down. But warning, they are a very popular place!
Walking / Running Trails
This park is intertwined with walking paths all over it. From north to south, you’ll walk through every feature of this park. A must-walk path is off of the paved paths where you will walk through a US flag-lined path commemorating the fallen officers of Las Vegas. It is somehow elegant and rustic at the same time.
Tennis
In between the playground and pickleball courts is a tennis court.
Basketball
If there is a basketball court within a mile radius, my toddler son will find it. Police Park has an excellent court. This is a full court with 4 side hoops and lights for nighttime.
Skate Park
Having worked for a professional skateboarding competition when I first got to Las Vegas, I appreciate any and all parks that have a Skate Park. The skate park has a few half bowls, stairs and rails for anyone with a board to have a good time.
Playground
Police Parks has two larger playgrounds. One for toddlers and one for bigger kids. Both of them have slides, climbing features, and swings for the appropriate ages. Both playgrounds are in sand areas, so make sure you bring your shovels!
Picnic Areas
This park is riddled with great, shaded picnic areas with BBQ grills. Come down with a group of any size and there is an area for you!
