Craig Ranch Regional Park

Craig Rang Park is one of the largest parks in the Las Vegas area with some great amenities that you can’t find anywhere else.

Craig Ranch Dog Park

Craig Ranch has several dog parks to keep every puppy happy. The three parks are split up to accommodate dogs of every size. These parks are some of the shadiest dog parks in Las Vegas with a lot of grass and trees.

Skate Park

Craig Ranch Park has so much to offer, but I have to highlight the skate park first and foremost because of how great it is and my personal history.  And to explain how impressed I am with this skate park, you need to know a bit of my background:

I moved to Las Vegas to be the web developer for a professional skateboarding competition. Not only did I get to see pro skaters design their ideal courses, but for a short time I was required to scope out skate parks all over southern California and check for repairs to the parks that the company built.  No, I don’t skate, but I have seen a lot of skate parks.

When the company I had heard of was talking about having a contest in Las Vegas, Craig Ranch always came up despite the fact that the company normally would install a new skate park for competitions.  Since there was never a Vegas event, I never made it to Craig Ranch.

This is why I was so impressed by Craig Ranch’s skate park.   And I’m sure I’m not alone.

The park is great for street and transitional skating filled with ramps, rails, stairs, several bowls,  you name it.  All they need is to install a mini-mega ramp. Kidding, I know the liability on that, thank you, Jake Brown.

Some of the other features are at Craig Ranch skate park which should be a requirement in a desert park, but you can’t find it anywhere else in town.  Like SHADE! Craig Ranch skate park is the only one I’ve seen with shade for skaters to sit in on a 115° day. They also have security guards hanging out at the park.  And, this park is also well-lit for nighttime skating.

This skate park almost covers all the bases.  The only things I could think that would be cool to add would be a concession stand and stadium seating for events or spectators. Shaded of course.

Numerous Playgrounds

Craig Ranch Regional Park in Las Vegas has an impressive array of playgrounds that cater to every age and interest. Through several stops across the park, you will find web-like climbing structures, hillside slides, pretend play houses, zip lines and desert characters incorporated into the scenery. Nestled amidst lush greenery, these playgrounds are not just recreational spaces but immersive environments where kids can explore, climb, swing, and interact, fostering a sense of adventure and camaraderie. With safety at the forefront, the park provides well-maintained equipment and spacious areas for families to unwind and enjoy a day filled with laughter and play.

Amphitheater

Craig Ranch Regional Park Amphitheater serves as a vibrant hub for entertainment and community gatherings. This outdoor venue combines modern design with natural surroundings, providing a captivating setting for concerts, cultural performances, and events year-round. With ample seating and excellent acoustics, the amphitheater offers an immersive experience for attendees. The scenic backdrop of the park adds to the charm, creating a welcoming space where people can come together, celebrate, and connect through shared experiences.
