DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 10\, 2025 – 9:00 am\nThe day before Mother’s Day!\nFloyd Lamb Park\n \n100% of the net proceeds will be donated to Helping Hands of Vegas Valley for Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support.\n \nThe 16th annual Mother’s Day weekend event will take place at Floyd Lamb Park. This event is not just for Moms!! Men\, women\, kids…the whole family is welcome to come out and participate in the event! A great way to kick off Mother’s Day weekend!  \nEvery participant will receive a very cool tech shirt and an awesome finisher’s medal! \nAll Moms will receive a flower! \n‘After Race Celebration’ at Rachel’s Kitchen…$3 smoothies and juices! \nThere will be overall awards for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place Male and Female for the 5K and age division ribbons for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place Male and Female for the 5K. \nCome on out and kick start your Mother’s Day weekend! \n\n\n\nCourse:\nThe course starts at Group Area 5. The first part of the course is an out and back and the second part is a loop. It takes you out onto the crushed limestone basin trail surrounded by beautiful desert landscape\, shaded picnic areas and views of the Sheep and Spring Mountains. \nThis course is different from your basic road or park trail 5K races. It’s fun\, fast and provides a variety of terrain and scenery. There is nothing difficult and no trail shoes needed!  The 1-mile fun walk participants will follow the same course. The paved parking Lot 5 is closed to staff only. Overflow parking is available in Parking Lots 3 and  2.
