The initiative\, co-hosted with Commissioners Tick Segerblom and April Becker\, combines a Peace Walk and Family Fun Festival to address community concerns and promote unity. The public is invited to attend these free events. \nEvent Details: \n\nDate: Saturday\, March 15\, 2025\nPeace Walk Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.\nFamily Fun Festival Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.\n\nLocation Details: \n\nPeace Walk Starting Point: 7-Eleven Convenience Store parking lot at 3033 S Arville St\nFamily Fun Festival Venue: Cashman Park at 3100 S Warnock Rd (entrance off Sirius Ave)\n\nThe free dual-event initiative will begin with a Peace Walk through six apartment complexes in the Pennwood/Arville area\, followed by a Family Fun Festival at Cashman Park. This community outreach effort specifically addresses gang activity and violence that has impacted students at Clark High School and Cashman Middle School.
